Cartoons Challeged for Oscar

American Film Academy has comprised a list of cartoons which pretend to be the best animation film of 2010. This is a long list: it is actually to be shortened to form a short list of pretenders for the statuette. Only three works will be comprised in it. Which ones exactly — it will be known in January, when the list of nominees for the main american film award will be brought to the public.
By now there are only 15 cartoons in that list. It includes both blockbusters, which have gathered or are supposed to gather much money in theatres ("Shrek Forever After", "Despicable Me", "How to Train Your Dragon", "Megamind", "Legend of the Guardians", "Toy Story 3", "Rapunzel"), and the works which haven't won that much of the audience approval ("Alpha and Omega", "Сats and Dogs"), and the works, which were released in limited quantities ("Idiots and Angels", "The Dreams of Jinsha", "The Illusionist", "My Dog Tulip", "Summer Wars") and even those which were released only on DVD ("Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue").
The experts say that "Toy Story 3" are still in favor, having become the highest-grossing film of 2010 in american and worldwide box office.
"Oscars" will be awarded on February 27, 2011 in Los Angeles.
