Yesterday at the selection committee meeting, the organizers picked out 42 out of 108 works which will be evaluated by the competent jury. Such a procedure is necessary and takes place every year to sift out the ones which don’t meet the requirements: contain advertising material, have a bad sound or image quality. You can find more detailed information about this in the festival regulations.
