Works for «Demoscene at Multimatograf» demo party are accepted until April 23rd. The anniversary festival in Vologda will host a competition of 8-bit demo, music and graphics for the first time. We invite you to take part in it at five nominations: 1Bit ZX Spectrum Music, 8bit Chip music, 8bit Graphics, 8Bit 256b intro, 8Bit Demo. Subculture under the name of «demoscene» was formed in Europe and the United States at the end of 1980s due to the popularity of home computers. The main idea of demoscene is noncommercial creative work at computer. Most of all, in the form of so called «demo» — which is a program with the strictly limited code and resources of a computer. They can implement complicated audio and visual effects often related to some plot. With the use of complicated calculations «on the uptake» demo can show its creator’s skills in programming, design and electronic music.

The first demoparty in Russia took place in 1995. Nowadays demoscene parties take place in Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Saint Petersburg. For the first time the demoscene will be hold in Voloda at «Multimatograf» festival. Performance of works and voting for the best ones will take place in oldschool zone of the festival on April, 25-26th.
