Vologda is to become the center of multimedia art again in April, and now the organizers of «Multimatograf» are opening the call for participants for the seventh festival. The works, realized in different techniques arer accepted to the festival until April 11. It may be classical, plasticine, Flash and made with a digital photo camera animation.

«The first multimedia creation we got long ago before the official start of work submission — already in August. It proves, that during the last six years the festival has gained participants’ trust, they do not doubt that the festival is to take place again, — says the festival director Maxim Petrayev. — I can say, that the team of organizers has joyfully plunged into work on the seventh festival and we are all waiting for new interesting ideas».

This year the participation process in the festival has got easier — it’s necessary to fill out the online application form, accept the terms of the author contract and indicate one of the four nominations: «Cartoon», «Video art», «Music video» and «Wild». Unlike a lot of other festivals, participation in «Multimatograf» is free of charge, because it is a non-profit project.

Besides, everybody who will visit Vologda city during the festival events (April 23-24), will get a unique chance to hang out in «animation get-together», communicate with famous animators, producers, designers, directors, and also get to know the creation work of the collegues, show yourself through the works, sent to the festival.  

During the six years, the festival has seen about 500 works from all the parts of the world: St Petersburg, Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Kiev, Brest, Sofia, Prague, New-York, Copenhagen, Chisinau.
