VIII International Festival of Animation Art «Multivision» will be held in St Petersburg from Dec 3 – Dec 12. More than 250 films from different countries will take part in it. The main worksite of the festival will be «Rodina» («Motherland») Cinema.  Besides, the movie theatre «Mirage Cinema» in Ozerki will also hold some screenings.

«Multivision» will open with the programme of the prestigious International festival of animated films Trickfilm (Germany). The viewers will also get a chance to watch special programmes from the French Animated Film Accociation and National Film Board of Canada.

Apart from the shorties, the festival will also showcase full-length movies. Anime fans will be pleasantly surprised — russian premiere of the two new japanese pictures, «Chocolate Underground» by Takayuki Hamana and ICE by Makoto Kobayashi, is waiting from them. The films will be screened in «Rodina» on Dcember 4 in the framework of «Anime Night».

The most top-ranked animation will take part in the contest. Among them — the Oscar-winner film «Logorama», SunDance festival laureate «I am so proud of you» by Don Hertzfeldt, last films of the famous French studio Lardux, hits of dutch animation, new films of «Pilot»  Studio and others.
