Toonbox animation studio opens a school of classical animation with Sasha Dorogov as the director of it. He is the leading animator of Disney Feature Animation Studio (Florida), who has worked on such famous animation films as  «Mulan», «Lilo and Stitch», «Brother Bear», «Pocahontas», «The Lion King» and others, and also until 1990 he worked for «Soyusmultfilm» Studio on the films «Nu, pogodi!», «Adventures of the baby penguin Lolo», «Medvezhut», etc.

On completion the course there will be a possibility to get employed in Toonbox Studio, the students also will get a certificate of completion. It is the first time in Russia when education is based upon the principles of the western schools and oriented on the realities of the global market, understanding of anatomy and masses, timing and spacing.

Course duration – 6 months.

Schedule:

• Tue 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm;
• Thu 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm;
• Sat 11:00 am – 7:00 pm, then demonstration of the films - until 8:30 pm.

Entrance examination:

• In order to enter the course you need to send your scetches of people and animals until July 11 (dinamics and statics). Attention! Hours-long pictures are not needed. Only outlines and fast sketches! And also if possible a showreel of your animation achievements. The works must be sent to the following address - wildrusssian@mail.ru or koms@koms.ru with the subject «I want to enter the course».
• The precelection will take place until July, and on July 17 – a tet-a-tet talk with Sasha Dorogov (for candidates from other cities a skype-conference may be arranged).
• The results of the second selection will be announced on July 19 on the course website.

Number of students – 20.

Cost – 2.200$ (price for 6 months).

Dates – July 20 - January 20, 2011.
