We decided to throw a poster contest, devoted to the Multimatograf 10th birthday. You draw a poster — we make the best ones be seen by the Multimatograf participants, viewers, guests. The contest is conducted on the crowdsourcing online platform Citycelebrity. It's alsolutely no importance where you live and what technique you use. The submissions are due until April 6. We are starting the volunteers recruitment process for the X Multimatograf. Responsible, comminucative, energetic — you are wanted in our organizing team! We seek: assistants for master-classes and screenings, maintenance staff; enthusiastic, fun people and all those who are interested in the festival for other work.

Useful info from our partner: computer graphics centre Render.ru invites you to get enrolled in the online course. Render.ru has been engaged in CG education since 2007, and in 2012 switched to the distance education only. During this period their specialists have recorded more than a couple of dozens courses of different levels. They have made cooperations with such developers as Autodesk, Adobe, Chaos Group, Unity and many others.

The old partner of the festival — Moscow animation studio Toonbox — will present its new cartoon series «Kit’n’Kate» at the 10th «Multimatograf». It is made by an international team which includes participants of such huge projects as «Sesame street», «Madagascar», «Shrek» and others.

One of the events opening the 10th «Multimatograf» will be a concert of music band «Kipelov» organized by the «Vologda regional rock club». The concert will be held on April 25th, the first festival day, at 18:00 in «Russkiy Dom». The famous Russian rock band «Kipelov» was created by Valeriy Kipelov in 2002. Since that time it has produced 2 albums. The set list is not known but we expect to listen to both famous hits and new songs.

We have signed the agreement on cooperation with the VoGU ( Vologda State University). The agreement was signed by Maxim Petryaev, the director of «Multimatograf», and Leonid Sokolov, the president of the VoGU. This agreement will let students to do year projects, researchers and experimental and constructor projects in the sphere of interests of «Multimatograf». It is also possible to hold joint events which is especially good news considering the fact that a lot of VoGU students are working at the festival now.

The work from distant Australia has arrived to the 10th «Multimatograf». Photographer Filippo Rivetti sent a video «Time to Sydney» that was filmed with the use of hyperlapse techniques (shooting in intervals with moving of the camera). In the video there is Sydney with its beautiful beaches and the urban landscape.

While we continue accepting the applications for the 10th festival on the «Multimatograf» site we decided to go offline and show you our favorite works. We have collected a lot of them for nine years, but we will try to manage and show them in one evening. Here is a quick introduction to the festival: nine years of history in a couple of hours.

We accept works in six nominations this year. Four of them are familiar to you: Cartoon, Music Video, Video-Art and Wild. Also we divided «Short film» into two parts: Fiction film and Documentary. Creative approach, innovation and experiments are welcome.

Works for «Demoscene at Multimatograf» demo party are accepted until April 23rd. The anniversary festival in Vologda will host a competition of 8-bit demo, music and graphics for the first time. We invite you to take part in it at five nominations: 1Bit ZX Spectrum Music, 8bit Chip music, 8bit Graphics, 8Bit 256b intro, 8Bit Demo.
